get da hell outta ... ( 2 weeks ago by dipsetsouthnigga)
get da hell outta here, gridiron players throw their bodies at each other not having any concern for their well being. that's why most of them sit on da sideline because they have bruised thumbs, in one of my highschool rugby games I had a concussion, and unlike football players I kept playing, in rugby you lay more of your body on da line and this is coming from a football player who played nose, rugby players care more about the sport than the money
Rugby is inferior ... ( 1 week ago by Envyecho)
Rugby is inferior in many ways.American Football are better Athletes and the game itself is more intriguing.American Football is very tactical and demands Alot of precision in gameplay to be sucessfull Not Just Running down the Field lateraling the ball.Rugby is like a broken down version of American football.

gridiron players ... ( 1 week ago by UHtiger)
gridiron players are specialists, rugby players are better all round athletes, yes gridiron is very tactical, but the majority of the moves are called by the coach and they get plenty of time to talk it out before the play is run. rugby players make all their descisions in real time while the game is being played.
Noone in Rugby can ... ( 1 week ago by Envyecho)
Noone in Rugby can hit or tackle better then players like Ray Lewis , Brian Dawkins or a Keith Bulluck and Noone in Rugby has the speed or Elusiveness then players like Chris Johnson , Adrian peterson or LT "look them up educate yourself" Noway Rugby players are better athletes.Coaches Call plays but players Still have to have to mk things happen plus Coaches Have 40 second to decide on a play, relay it to the Qb,Then the Qb has to relay it onto the team set up and snap the ball.

1.They wear pads in the NFL, in rugby its skin on skin, bone on bone full contact.
2. Rugby players are better athletes because they decide how they play for themselves, they do not have a coach telling them exactly what they will do in the next play.
The only space for free thinking in the NFL is when there is a fumble being returned or the QB calling an audible.
3. Rugby players play hard for 80 minutes, they do not play for 6 seconds then have a lengthy break.
yes but can Keith ... ( 1 week ago by rugby1324)
yes but can Keith bulluck pass the ball under pressure, then turn around and make a tackle and then hit a ruck, and do this for 80 minutes?
Can adrian peterson make tackles as well as making runs and pass to set up other people.
they are better in their specific area, but rugby players are more well rounded sportsmen
rugby players are ... ( 1 week ago by UHtiger)
rugby players are better athletes for the fact that they have the skills of all those players, i.e ma
á nonu can tackle like ray lewis can run like LT can kick like a kicker and can make game time descisions like a quater back.

better well rounded Sportsman ? Why Cause Rugby is a repetitive Sport and requires Everyone to have the same responsibilities ?Sounds like your Sport lacks complexity.

American football ... ( 4 days ago by wojcik2127)
American football players are still great wel rounded athletes. Its just that they can only showcase one aspect of there athletic ability because of their position. I guarantee Adrian Peterson was a great LB in highschool and could tackle aswell, but they figured out he was better at running the ball.

So how about this.. ... ( 2 days ago by saucyisawesome)
So how about this... Do you think your any rugby players can be a good Wide Reciever in the NFL or College or w/e position it is? It's a totally different sport. In AF. You are in the position because you are the best at that. I don't think a rugby player could just step in and be good at w/e position. Rugby players are more like linebackers. But rugby is basically going one way everytime. Pictching it. While in AF.. They will throw you off by all kinds of plays which confuses you. It's hard.
Ohio one of the 4 ... ( 1 day ago by murphdawg40)
Ohio one of the 4 states that god gave athletic ability or sports knowledge too. the others would be fla, cal, and tex. a.k.a the states where god pays attention. ur not putting more out there in rugby in football you should be in on some kind of contact every snap. rugby you obv.can't. They are both tough games but in america you can't compare football>rugby in terms of toughness.. mind you that scale does not apply everywhere only in the US. In NZ or UK the rugby is far tougher than their amf
American football ... ( 1 day ago by project58ok)
American football is the most tough sport of the two, rugby is also tough but at the same time you have to think about the whole spectrum that is football. In every single play linemen are hitting each other, linebackers are breaking through blocks to make the tackle. Rugby is more like soccer, you run a lot get tired faster and you tackle more, but the tackles are spread around all of the players. In football every starting linemen and runningback get hit every play.
in football its so ... ( 1 day ago by project58ok)
in football its so much more complicated, each coach is playing a chess game against each other, all of the different coverages, blitzes, and plays make it so much more than just brute strength. in rugby its dumbed down to just pitching, running and punting. plus in rugby, the hits look hard because everybody is running tall(makes it easy to tackle)in American football backs are told to lean forward to make it harder to wrap up like they do in rugby
Maybe football is ... ( 13 hours ago by kiwiguy77)
Maybe football is more complicated, but football players are drones compared to rugby players. In football you have three teams in one side, you stop play every 5 to 25 seconds, half the players in football can't tackle, the other half can't run. they only play half a game not a full game. Most the players never touch the football at all. In rugby every player plays non stop for 80 mins, every player must run, every player must tackle. As for pads, PADS ARE FOR PUSSYS. And helmets are for FAGS.
thats because ... ( 12 hours ago by project58ok)
thats because football is not an individual sport, football is about TEAMWORK, its a team sport. gives it much more depth than just running around tackling. plus if you give half the players in defense a rugby ball, trust me its not like they are going to be easy to tackle at all. FUCKING IDIOT
i guarantee you, if ... ( 11 hours ago by project58ok)
i guarantee you, if you put fifteen of the best football players and fifteen of the best rugby players and let them play rugby, the football players are going to beat them. if you do the same thing the other way around, rugby players would be too stupid and ignorant that they would get blown out.
well im sure that ... ( 11 hours ago by hamofied07)
well im sure that the usa rugby team use to play football when they were young, so which means they have the football skills on the rugby field, but then again they are fucking crap against the big dogs
you cant garentee ... ( 6 hours ago by Raawr77)
you cant garentee shit. football players would be completely out of their depth in rugby. no lineman would be able to last the 80 minutes, they would have no coach telling them what to do every play. i dont know where you get this notion that rugby players are too stupid to play AF.. they have to act instictively and read plays as they happen. imagine a wall of defencive backs and no forward passes.. it doesnt seem that mentally strenuous to do what your offensive coordinater tells you.
in NRL the top ... ( 5 hours ago by Raawr77)
in NRL the top tacklers make around 40 tackles a game. in NFL the top tacklers make around 10. the NRL regular season is 24 games plus the 8 team playoff series. the top players then play 4 games at representative level and then go on to play at international level for about 10 games a year. dont start claiming your sport is tougher untill you know about the other.
