I know this will start a big deal with alot of people. I am a animal lover myself. I have a farm with alot of pets, that I love dearly. I take in every stray of all kinds. If it needs a home I will help it. You are 100% wright, know this should not go on. But if you were one of these women that need this Meds. what would you say. I hate animal testing! But we are so lucky to have smart people, Dr., to do the test to see what will make our lives longer. God Bless Mel

You know, I had forgotten this was still an issue out there until now! I need to get back out there and educate people about this terrible thing happening. I am going right to my OBGYN and make sure she knows where that drug comes from and knows not to prescribe it! Thank you for posting this and well done on your hard work!! If I had the means I would adopt a horse to keep it going to a slaughter house or something like this. In the mean time I will do what I can! Thank you!!

you hate animal testing? how can you hate animal testing (which includes the slaughter of little babes in this case, and the abuse of mares) but still be okay with the production of this drug, and the consumption of it...a drug that eases the NATURAL transition of your body into menopause and makes the transition more comfortable? have you ever handled horses or gotten a chance to just watch them together...they have incredible personalities and they FEEL...just like youre dog or cat at home...

at the place i work at, we have a few friesians...sweetest horses in the barn i think (and also the biggest, which i LOVE)
im sure if you search around a bit too, youd be able to find some in a rescue...save yourself a bit of money, and save a life...maybe not the bloodlines youre looking for, but still...

Id rather save up and get quality bloodlines myself as im looking to event...rescue sounds good...but id buy from foal and back and school myself, and keep him for life that way i can get him how i want him.And hopefully have a long eventing carrer with him.Good sugestion though :-)

my mare ally was born on a pmu farm and turned into a pmu mare herself as a yearling! its gross and sad, the barn where she was at went bankrupt and a tracs organization in BC found her on a feedlot and i adopted her from them she is my sweet heart she is now five and she is my very best friend and barrel horse she has won me over 500 dollars at competitions and i love her so much!
