Thanks! I actually think it could be better... I still have a lot to learn. Main thing I did was increase contrast with Sony Vegas. Rendered at 2mbps, 320x240, 30fps, best video quality, mp4. I think uploading as divx may be the best way to go, though.

No, you can use usb. set the camera on play mode and press play at the camera when you have MotionDV stuidio up. Then you can record. I don't have Firewire cable atm so I use usb. It get's a bit blurry if you are not steady with the camera using usb..

Firewire is better. You get the same quality but Firewire is faster.
