Wake up, Ronaldo is a striker, C. Ronaldo is a winger(do you know the differences?). Portugal has only 11 million people, Brazil has 186 million(do the maths). Brazil is the best national team in the world, Portugal is one of the best of Europe. So you can't compare national team achievements...Ronaldo will be the best player this year(if there isn't any new Messi as a pseudo-best-player this year), so only 2 more to get to Ronaldo. ;)

and again... Ronaldo got the golden ball when there was large amount of competition for him. There were SO many players that competed for the golden ball. Zidane Batistuta Rivaldo etc. Anyway, Cristiano ronaldo will get the golden ball this year, I think.
