Why are people still fighting over this stupid video? Bottom line: Travis Barker is a great drummer who is successful at what he's best at: punk rock drumming. The best over all? No. But he's got a lot of style and attitude behind the kit, and there's no denying that he's talented. This video however, is not that exciting and there are hundreds of others that can play everything he does. Just because it's him does not make it the best rudimental snare drum solo ever. So let's make peace. Please?

Truth is, it's really not that exciting, even as an improvised solo. I've got 12 year old students that are learning stuff that sounds exactly like this through their rudimental snare studies. Again. This is nothing against Travis. I think he's a fantastic drummer. But if the people who think this solo is awesome would get a clue, and the people who keep ripping on him as a musician would back off, there wouldn't be an argument.
