I can understand people do have different tastes but to brand this song as crap is an insult to both the talented singer-songwriter as well as other all those who love this song and who grew up with it. Your remarks seem to verge on being vindictive. Songs don't make people dumb. I used to watch a really sappy TV sitcom called "Blossom", just to see Mellissa Manchester, who played Blossom's mother. She played the part of a singer who gave up her family for fame. The show sucked, but the lady played the part really well.
