They didnt diserve to make it past Australia in the 2nd round. Last minute penalty stolen from the ref, result of their exceptional faking/diving ability or simply their corrupt leaders and football managers bribing FIFA officials? Nobody knows.
But no, Materazzi had to prove he was an Italian until the last minute of the final, insulting and harassing Zidane the whole match until breaking point.

I'm glad for Italians though, at least they can comfort themselves in falsly thinking they are the best at soccer, they really need it. I mean these guys really need a morale boost, look at how fucked up their country is, corrupt politicians, rundown economy, etc.. Just try and have a bit more honor when you play football at least, then the rest of the world might start respecting you.
