He was better than any current worldclass player atm when he was just 20ish. He was massively unlucky with injuries and medical problems (including weight gain) from quite early on, but STILL managed to be the worlds best player for many years after this, and the all time world cup lead goalscorer. So, how the hell can you call him 'overestimated'??? Obviously you know fuck all about him, pathetic.

My problem with Ronaldo is that he just disappeared after World Cup 1998 (after the horrific final against France where he missed a 100 % chance and Brazil lost 3-0). And then I think he is an idiot.

I don't understand people like this skoettish guy that write things that are not true..Ronaldo did not disappear after 1998. world cup. He played a great season in inter and later got injured and was out of the field for two years, after that he scored 8 goals in 2002. world cup including crucial ones in semifinals and finals. After that, he was la liga top scorer in 2002-2003 season and real madrid top scorer for 3 seasons. He scored 3 goals at 2006.

He came to ac milan with 95 kg of weight and in first 12 games he scored 7 times, 2 goals from normal plays, 1 header, one left footed strike from 20 meters of distance in the very corner, one 20 meteres shot in the top right corner, one of his trademark 4 stepovers to the left and left footed shot goals and one goals with his CHEST..he had 4 assists, got 2 penalties whichs he did not shoot, and ac milan got 30 points in those 12 games.

People who like Ronaldo, don't talk things like "he would have been the best if not for the injury" or something like that. It's what makes him the phenomenon, he was the best at age when most players start their pro career..he suffered an injury which would bring most players down for the count, but he returned as the best again, that's what makes him Ronaldo, he spent third of his career being injured, and is still along with Zidane the most awarded player ever individually and team awarded.

You can like or dislike him, that's a matter of your personal opinion, but he is without a single doubt the best striker ever to play football, he proved it on club and national team level many times, played in 3 strong european leagues and was great in all of them. In fact, only 2 footballers that can compare to Ronaldo are Zidane and Maradona. I can't understand people who compare c. ronaldo, henry, messi, and similar players to these legends.
