Believe it or not, kids, this commercial, for reasons I can't for the life of me understand watching it now, captivated an entire nation back in 1984. There were T-shirts, bumper stickers, and it even made its way into the 1984 presidential campaign. It's amazing to me how much easier it was for something to embed itself into the public consciousness before the age of internet and 600-channel television.
