This is a video I made for my (now ex) girlfriend when she wanted to learn Hebrew. I set it to Debbie Friedman's Aleph-Bet song. I touched it up so it looks nicer, because when I originally made it, I was working on it until 4 am, so I cut corners toward the end. Here is the "director's cut" if you will

hi.... my question is kinda off topic... i hope u can enlighten me :) how many language does jew speak... or is it dialect? its confusing me because i thought jewish language is hebrew, but on another video a rabbi speak in yiddish(im not sure, i hope i spell it right)

I'm talking about the alphabet names. A lot are similar. Not mentionning similar words that exists in both languages (Hebrew - Arabic): Shalom = Salam = Peace Ar-bah = arba'a = Four esrim = oshrin = Twenty sakeen = Sekkeen = Knife Both are semetic languages. And right now, all I see is a family conflict that I wish it's going to end soon in peace for both side.

The similarities between hebrew and arabic is because the language the old testament was written in originally was unfortunately lost, no one in the whole world spoke it anymore. Therefore, someone recreated the biblical language using arabic, created sounds for the letters, and called it hebrew. Therefore, Alif and alef is the same letters, and so is baa and bet. Salaam and shalom is the same words. Hope that enlightens you ;)

When it has the final part of a letter, like final Chaf or final Tsadee, does it mean that that's what you would write if you put that letter at the end of a word? please let me know if I'm wrong.

thank you so much for this video! i just finished hebrew classes and we had to watch this every time! the younger kids really enjoy it
