Figure skating isn't very dangerous compared to, well just about every other sport. I'd say figure skating is more "unbalanced" than dangerous.

Well it only hurts if you mess up very badly. well i figure skate so i know, and as Irishtwin1 said it looks worse than it feels. well some of the falls are not hurtful because they sat in their air position, and was not tight enough to control the landing. 1 thing is that if you skate in pairs it's more hurtful because if one of you mess up than it will just ruin the program. and especially when the guy lifts the girl up!

actually its not unbalanced because wen you get ur balance you have it.. so jus like every other sport practice makes perfect same with balance(:

YOUCH!!!! I am a figure skater and I don't fall. These people are really into the stuff that they do. Notice most of these are pairs. They probably din't land on the right edge or tripped on their toe pick or something.

I've gotten/seen bloody noses, broken arms, twisted ankles, etc all the time playing and watching sports, but the skate rink just scares the hell out of me, especially with so many little kids, and people on the floor with skate blades whizzing by. I feel kinda bad for the female skaters... They seem to get tossed around and thrown across the ice a lot more(obviously)..

yes it is dangores i was doing a ice show i fell an broced my ribs but it is a wonderful sport so if you hate falling it isent the sport for you but im fine now an i got an cople cuts on my leg but this is not a deathey sport!!!!!!!!!11
