the problem is not so much trent, but these kids who worship him when equally or more so talented artists do not get credit. Yes, every musician has influences, but Trent has literally stolen music, as well as Led Zeppelin and others. Than claimed originality.

That's because he samples a Prince song in one of the songs on Pretty Hate Machine.

When it comes to Electronic and Industrial .
Where is all of the credit for Kraftwerk and Throbbing Gristle . Those are the real influences on most of the Electronic music . Including ( Industrial music ) which includes skinny puppy and ohgr . No one ever talks about Kraftwerk or Throbbing gristle! but damn were they awesome and influent
ial . Some of the best musicians going! Think about how much creativity went behind pioneering this new genre Ohgr owns :-D

This song is OK, nothing impresive.
I love Industrial but we have to admit that Trent reznor killed this genre when he released The Downward Spiral.
He pushed that sound to its limits that after that album there was nothing elso to be done.
NIN is just so fucking awesome.
Trent is a genius.
Gotta listen to the influences like throbbling gristle.

Wouldn't it be cool if Reznor stopped sucking and made an album worth listening to again?

Maybe he pushed that sound to its limits at the time, but even if he did (and I'm a fan of both NIN and N.Ogre) with the constant progression of music in all aspects there should certainly be room for yet newer sounds. Once we say there's nothing more to be done, nothing more can be done -- we've defeated ourselves.

Strange you should mention it, I've seen Kraftwerk pop up on a few comment strings on youtube lately (probably helps when watching stuff like Gary Numan, lol) and I've even seen Throbbing Gristle pop up a couple of times! :)

It is good to see that throbbing gristle and kraftwerk are getting the respect they deserve .
They are really such brilliant bands . The pioneers of a new genre . Ohgr rocks too . I wish they had more ohgr songs on here . They do not even h ave a full length of pore! :-(

I know! Pore has always been one of my favs, though the entire Welt album was pretty damn awesome. I think it's pretty neat that bands still cover Kraftwerk, even if it is just the one song. ;)

no Im not. I know nin remixed the song worlock from SP. and yes he also worked with maynard. and if it was a brainstorm why were there tracks avaible from the project. full studiolized tracks. the only thing is the project was never on the market. but thats about it. plus everyone that thinks OHGR is against Trent. your fucking stupid. why dont see the interview of cracker.

I interviewed ohGr last night for my podcast, after their Vancouver show. He talked about his Tapeworm project (found on Pigface's "Gub" album) and how it differed from Trent and Maynard's Tapeworm project. That episod will be posted later this week. Google "Foreskin Radio" and it'll take you to our website.

This would have have been edgy in like, 1994. Who, at this point, is still bitter about NIN "killing industrial music"? And Eminem - who was he, again? And, really, Ogre, like you haven't blatantly ripped off the Cabs (among others) many a time in you day?
