Hockey all the way. There are some nasty hits in football but not as nasty as Hockey. The vids show that difference. God I miss throwing hits in hockey. What I would not do for one more hit.

ive played both. hockey is definatley more brutal. you move so much faster. i would rather be open field tackled than open iced. the football pads are so much bigger too and you dont feel as much. NHL is by far rougher and the players are tougher. look at malone last year in the finals. thats just one example every 1 might recognize. both are tough but hockey has the edge. the gayest sport is by far baskeball. Fuck the NBA and all those pussy homos

If we're talking about huge hits in particular, I'd say hockey hits are harder. However, select football players take some pretty big hits pretty often in a game, while huge hockey hits do not happen constantly during a game.
I give the edge to the NHL in terms of "brutal game" since it takes such a huge toll on their bodies. They play 82 EXHAUSTING games, often with back-to-backs (which i never understood...Take that shit out). Both games are tough, but I think hockey is tougher.

hockey is so much more brutal. they dont only have to look out for players trying to run them over they have pucks coming at them at almost 100 mph that can easily be deflected to the face. plus fist fights are part of the game.

NFL IS TOUGHER I played hockey all my life up to college (club). I have never played organized football Hockey is a more brutal sport hands down (fighting, sticks, boards) but lets be real It is not rare to see NHL players sticking around for 15+ seasons. You rarely see that in the NFL. EVERYONE gets injured during a 16 game NFL season. Most NHL players play at least 75 out of 82 games during the season. NFL players are practically retarded cripples by the time they retire.. (lol lindros is)
