She looks like a bug-eyed freak at the end. I'm an art student and I spend 20 or more hours a week look at real art models and I promise you humans do not actually look like that. This is Dove's point exactly. You're so used to seeing this crap that you can't even tell what real human anatomy is any more.

Hmm... She kinda does look weird at the end! So buying Dove products will make you look good.

meh....Dove promotion attempts have little to do with the bigger picture. Sure they're trying to promote themselves as a "self-esteem sensitive" company, but they were not the first to call people out on photo manipulation and the certainly won't be the last. Check out the Photoshop Disasters blog, you'd be surprised how many photoshop trainwrecks are being published by reputable and well-established sources.

When it comes to beauty 'never the twain shall meet'. Men love ugly women who flirt well, and equally they love beautiful women with no personality. Women love men who love them. What can you do?

What is the point this ad is making? That there is no such thing as beautiful people, they have all just been photo shopped? Is it trying to make plainer people feel better? It's a bit like those campaigns that tell 'real' women (whatever that is) to "embrace their curves" (rolls). Actually, slim women have curves. Curves disappear when you get fat.
