juandi2570, because you are stupid and ignorant and don't understand English very well,I'll repeat that Thorpe broke the 200m free 6 times between 1999-2001.He lowered the record by 2.61 seconds which is 1.51 seconds more than what Phelps has lowered it.Thorpe beat Phelps at the 200m in 2004.Oh, and the 200m free wasn't Thorpe's best event either.400m free was his best event.

Phelps is an awesome freestyle swimmer but he rarely competes in freestyle but the 200 freestyle. Michael is evolving into a great freestylist and there's no doubt in my mind that he'll dominate the 100 and 200 freestyle events in the near future........

Listen man. Let's stop the non sense. Thorpe was a freestyle specialist. Phelps is pretty damn good at any style including the freestyle. I don't care but the only thing that i know is that Phelps is the best swimmer ever, the most versatile swimmer who's ever existed. Spitz, Hacket and everybody has said that michael is the best ever. Michael eventually will lower the 200 freestyle record in more than 2.61. Let's wait and see. Michael is larger than life in swimmin'.

Too bad Crocker is fat and lazy.He could dominate the 100 fly if he wanted to.Only way Phelps is going to break the 100 fly record is he drops 400IM and focuses less on the 200 fly.He can do it but he's going to have to drop a bunch of races at a meet and concentrate on the 100 fly.

Phelps is going to drop the 400IM(he said that at the olympics) and is going to focus on the 100 freestyle and 100 back. He's also considering being a part of only two relays instead of three.
